From the very beginning and until now, Apple produces smartphones with LCD-displays. Faithful Apple fans know at least one reason to believe that LCD displays are better than AMOLED-displays, which from the very beginning are used by South Korean company Samsung in its flagship smartphones Galaxy. It seems that we will have to reconsider our views and use the iPhone with OLED displays.
It's no secret to anyone that this year Apple plans to release a new smartphone with an OLED display. About this appeared a huge number of rumors from the most authoritative sources. Fortunately, the same rumors indicate that new smartphones with LCD-displays will also be available. But it will not always be so.
According to new information from The Bell, obtained from the supply chain of Apple, in 2018 the company plans to use OLED-displays more actively before completely switching to the use of this technology in smartphones in 2019.
What does this mean? Apparently, in 2018 we are waiting for the iPhone, which will be produced with LCD-displays, and, most likely, it will be more affordable smartphones, like the iPhone SE. But in 2019, Apple's entire line of smartphones will delight or frustrate users with OLED displays. If Apple has decided this way, then this technology will please more than disappoint.
By the way, Samsung and Interflex will supply the displays.
