Apple has developed its own fingerprint scanning technology, which will be built into the OLED display of the new iPhone. This is reported by DigiTimes with reference to its own sources.
According to the publication, it is a completely new way of unlocking, which will replace the existing scanner Touch ID. A special algorithm from AuthenTec will allow to recognize the fingerprint even if the user touches the space allocated for this on the screen, rather than a separate button.
Nevertheless, journalists are not sure that the new technology will appear on the iPhone, which will be presented this year. Apparently, this applies to the iPhone 8, whereas in the fall of 2017, presumably, we will see two models of the "S" series.
