Apple released a report on the prevalence of iOS 11. According to official data, as of January 2018, the current version of the OS (including all iterations) is installed on 65% of compatible devices. This is 11% less than managed to win iOS 10 for the same period a year earlier.
Despite the abundance of innovations that iOS 11 contains, not all users hurry to update their smartphones and tablets. Official statistics say that at least 28% of compatible devices are running iOS 10 and another 7% – running one of the earliest versions of mobile OSes.
It is expected, however, that the existing gap will be compensated with the release of one of the nearest iOS updates with built-in performance monitoring mode. Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed its early appearance in an interview with ABC News, answering the question about the company's future plans to restore its authority.
