The Apple Pay Cash feature was announced at WWDC 2017 this summer and we expected it to be available simultaneously with the release of iOS 11. Since then, Apple's mobile operating system has already received two minor updates, but we still can not translate each other's money with the help of Apple Pay. What is going on?
MacRumors has contacted a source from Apple and said that at the moment the new function is being tested internally by the company. Testing is performed on devices with the beta version of iOS 11.1 installed and the corresponding certificate.
The insider also sent two screenshots: one of them captures the process of setting up Apple Pay Cash, the second one – an unsuccessful attempt to send money through iMessage due to the fact that the recipient has not yet configured this feature on his gadget.
We dare to assume that the long-awaited release of Apple Pay Cash will be held on the same day, when the final version of iOS 11.1 will be released. Earlier it was reported that the system will be available to residents of countries where Apple Pay operates, so we are waiting for it in Russia.
